4th of July Trip
We just got home last night. The kids did not want to come home. They want to live in Parawan UT now. At one time this sounded like a good idea to me too, but now, no.
The children had so much fun playing with thier cousins. There must have been 20 kids around all of the time. Randon’s uncle Kevin has 7 kids and 5 of them have kids too, our childrens age. So, you can imagine all of the fun they had. That and being able to ride horses with cousins, they were sold!
Kelcie is such a horse lover. She chose the wildest horse to ride and got bucked off in about 5 sec. She took it well though and got right back on. After her questioning how to fall off right (without getting hurt) we all advised her that it was best to just hang on tight, which she did then on. She got to help uncle Kevin fetch the horses from the HUGE pasture, it took about a 1/2 hour but they managed and Kelcie got to ride bareback all the way back to the tack shed. Even Scott enjoyed riding. Charis rode once and that was enough for her. She liked petting the horses best. Morgan and Addi rode several times and had fun. Morgan went on a mini trail ride and did really well.
The ride home was SOO long. We drove over the Hoover Dam, something that is not going to happen much longer. They are building an alternate route because of terrorist threat. And going through Kingman and Wickenburg is the longest most boring way to go. That is without mentioning Las Vegas, a town I would just as soon never see again in my life and feel quite happy about it.
So we are happy to be home.
